Pic: Ireland’s rainfall radar makes for a beautiful sight this morning

A rare and wonderful sight

Now if this could hold up for the weekend it would be sweet.

If you’ve plans for the weekend that involve being outdoors at some stage then you’ll be glad to know that the forecast, for the most part, is looking pretty decent.

A quick glance at Ireland’s rainfall radar this morning will show you that there’s barely a drop of it falling right throughout the country and while it’s not going to stay perfect for the entire weekend, it’s not bad either.

According to Met Eireann, today is expected to be a little cloudy but dry for the most part, with a little drizzle affecting Atlantic coastal areas and temperatures expected to reach as high as 22 degrees in brighter areas.

Sunny spells will arrive tomorrow, although there will be brief outbreaks of patchy rain to go with it and again, temperatures will exceed 20 degrees in brighter areas.

Sunday will be sunny in almost every part of the country although scattered showers will also be prevalent, with heavier rain expected in Ulster, Connacht and north Leinster, with temperatures again on the warm side and expected to reach as high as 19 degrees.

Looks like it’s going to be warm enough to get the barbeque out, but best have the brolly on hand just in case.
