Pic: Irish lad loans brother €100; puts NSFW name on bank statement before bank manager meeting

Harsh, but very funny

Conor Heneghan

Good luck explaining that one.

Asking for the loan of a few quid off a family member is something most of us have had to do at some stage.

In this day and age, internet banking is often the preferred method of completing the transaction rather than cold, hard cash; at least that way there’s proof of the exchange and no chance of claiming it never happened.

JOE reader Ian Shanahan, from Tipperary, is due to meet his bank manager ahead of a loan application this week and we’d love to see his face when he has to explain the first thing on the statement, a €100 deposit into his account from IRISHHOOKERS.COM.

Luckily for Ian, such a website doesn’t exist (we had to check… honest), but whether the bank manager will buy the true story that his brother Rob put that name on the statement knowing full well he’d have the money-related meeting is another story.

Good luck getting that loan, Ian.

Thanks to Ian for sending this our way on Facebook.
