Whatever your views on the upcoming marriage referendum, there are ways and means of communicating that message without resorting to insulting those with conflicting views.
Well-known Irish TV presenter Brendan Courtney was subjected to such insults this morning, having posted evidence on Twitter of a postcard he received from an anonymous No campaigner.
It’s shocking and just to warn you, it contains some very unsavoury language.
