Pic: Limerick artist uses his Irish Water application to protest with stunning James Connolly painting

This is absolutely fantastic.

For those of you living in a cave, there has been a bit of a kerfuffle among the Irish people around the whole Irish government wanting us to pay for water.

Protests and marches are happening everywhere, but Limerick artist Ger Kenny put his skills to work and came up with a poignant, but brilliant piece of art on his Irish Water application form with this incredible portrait of James Connolly.

It’s a fantastic way of using your skills and ability to protest in a memorable way.

Serious kudos is due to Ger for the painting, which had deservedly generated a massive reaction in the local media in Limerick and on social media of late.
