It seems to be a regular occurrence.
Gerry Adams isn’t the only member of Sinn Féin with a recent grievance towards the authorities because Mary Lou McDonald has hit out at the ‘special’ security screening that she faced while travelling from New York to Dublin.
The Sinn Féin Deputy Leader and TD for Dublin Central was in The Big Apple this week as she marched alongside the first Irish LGBT group to participate in the NYC Paddy’s Day parade, she carried the group’s banner up Fifth Avenue, but it seems that her journey ended on a sour note.
Despite being a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2009 and sitting in office since 2011, it appears that she’s frequently vetted by airport authorities.
Yet again singled out for 'special' security screening. Totally outrageous @AerLingus @BarackObama pic.twitter.com/Wm1HGMcjH8
