Powerful and heartwarming stuff.
As we’ve shown yet again this week, Irish people are really good at pulling together after a tragic event, whether it’s at a local level or on a larger scale like the terrible events in Berkeley earlier this week.
It turns out that such empathy and generosity of spirit doesn’t just extend to the people themselves, but also to our national airline Aer Lingus, who have endeavoured to provide help to those who need it most in deeply tragic situations.
On hearing of Aer Lingus’ gesture to the families affected by the Berkeley tragedy this week, one Aer Lingus customer was inspired to write them a moving thank you post to their Facebook page.

Not only was it a moving and emotional read, it inspired dozens upons dozens of others to share their stories of Aer Lingus’ compassion to their customers in difficult circumstances.
