We’re not surprised people are saying this looks a bit Lord of the Rings-ish
We’ll level with you, we’d never heard of the Kamchatka peninsula in the east of Russia but it looks like one hell of a spectacular place because of the volcano, Klyuchevskoy.
One of the largest active volcanoes in the world, it only erupts every couple of years and this week it has been in very violent form.
This picture, taken almost 10 miles away by photographer Marc Szeglat, shows the moment it spewed lava a kilometre into the air, its first eruption for three years.
The ominous clouds and red fire have meant some have come to claim it as a real life Mordor and we can see why.

We reckon we might stay a safe distance away, just in case.
