Kitty Cotter, we salute you.
The talk in the lead-up to today’s same-sex marriage referendum was that the young people of Ireland will be the ones to get the Yes vote over the line.
Obviously that’s the case but it doesn’t mean the older generation won’t play a part and a case in point is Kitty Cotter from Cork.
Kitty, who is 101 years old, went to the polling station in West Cork today wearing her rainbow-coloured cardigan and she voted Yes.
