What are the odds?
One Mayo teacher is going to have a nightmare remembering their pupils’ names this year after five sets of twins all started First Class in Balla Secondary School on the same day.
Count ’em up. FIVE sets of twins.
That’s like, a million kids or something. We were never really that good with numbers.
First reported by The Mayo News, the terrific teams of twins are, from left to right, Ellie and Harry Mulkerrin Connor, Alan and Conor Brennan, Abbey and Shauna Eagleton, Ellie and Anita Mahon, and Lauren and Nathan McGurrin.

The very best of luck to them at the start of the school year… x2.
If you know of any Irish school that has, or may have had, more sets of twins in the one class, please let us know by getting in touch on Facebook, Twitter or emailing us at editorial@JOE.ie, thanks.
Thanks to JOE reader Clodagh Howard for the heads up on this.
