His cruelty knows no bounds.
A Facebook user by the name of ‘Miguel Nino’ has tricked over 3,000 people into thinking they had a chance to win a free Electric Picnic ticket today.
It turns out your parents were right to warn you against trusting strangers on the internet, as the ticket turned out instead to be for a self-styled festival that the prankster has called ‘Electric Micknic’, to be hosted at the same time as Electric Picnic in ‘Mick’s Gaff’.
164 hopeful messages were left below the original picture, and Miguel is likely to face a barrage of outrage now that the prize has been revealed as a Micknic ticket. One Facebook commenter, Sean Domican, said it best with this Simpsons clip:
No acts have been announced yet for Electric Micknic but the event does seem to be a viable alternative for those who haven’t gotten an EP ticket, are over 12 years of age and disdain the large Garda presence at Electric Picnic.
For those of you that are heading down to Stradbally, there have been lots of new acts added to the line-up. Check them out here.
