PICS: What Dublin will look like when the new cross city Luas is finished

This will be so handy

Joe Harrington

This will be so handy.

If you’ve been in Dublin city centre recently you’ll have noticed all the road works around the place.

The reason for them is the expansion of the Luas to a cross city service which will see the red and green line link-up.

New traffic restrictions came into effect this morning with only buses, taxis and cyclists allowed access to College Green between 7am to 7pm from Monday to Friday the biggest change.

The project will be complete in 2017 and here’s a glimpse of what the changes will look like in the city.
