The chances are if you’ve been on the internet over the past few months, you will have seen more than a fair share of #BidenMemes doing the rounds.
The bromance between President Obama and Vice-President Biden has been well documented and today the President bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom upon Biden.
Obama himself even joked at the start of the ceremony that “this also gives the Internet one last chance to talk about our ‘bromance.’ ”
Biden was blown away by the gesture and was clearly emotional on stage as he received his award.
Calling Biden “the best vice president America’s ever had” and a “lion of American history,” Obama gave his White House partner the surprise award in an emotional ceremony, which was initially billed as farewell ceremony.
