So much has happened in Irish society during 2016 that it’s easy to forget some of the biggest events and stories from the past 12 months.
Here are some of the biggest stories on JOE during March.

9) The Irish guy that ended up in Amsterdam after taking a €1,000 bet in Cork at 2am
David O’Keeffe was out enjoying himself in Midleton in Cork (March 17) when his friend bet him €1,000 that he couldn’t wake up in a different country. Why? Not a clue.
David’s Snapchat story tells the whole tale though.


David’s mam wasn’t too impressed though.

8) These Irish guys’ Adele mashup went ridiculously viral and deservedly so.
Adele even performed with them during her gig at the 3Arena. 11 million views.
7) The Gardai having some 1916-inspired craic.

5) Dublin woman posts photos of her husband on a Guinness hunt after she hid all his cans
Not the type of thing that you want to see on Good Friday.

4) This Meath pub has a precariously hanging mannequin that’s fooling loads of people
Nothing beats the craic in a pub.

3) The brilliant text chat between eFlow and a guy who emigrated to Canada without returning his tags.
It all started with a tweet.

This is the best part of Irish pub culture.
Kerry man Brian O’Sullivan singing The Killers huge hit Mr. Brightside in a pub in Killorglin was shared thousands of time. Brandon Flowers and co. even reached out to them.
