3) Gardai in Kildare catch motorist driving at one of the highest speeds they’ve ever come across
A 21-year old motorist who was detected driving at 208 km/h in a 120km/h zone in wet conditions in January was sentenced to three months in prison, fined €1,000 and disqualified from driving for four years.
It was, according to the An Garda Síochana Facebook page, “probably one of the highest speeds the Naas Traffic Corps have come across” and as a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice (FCPN) was not an option in this case, the driver was summoned to appear in court.
Drive safely, folks.
2) Sinead O’Connor and Ireland’s attitude to mental health.
