So much has happened in Irish society during 2016 that it’s easy to forget some of the biggest events and stories from the past 12 months.

Here are some of the biggest stories on JOE during September.

Simply put, the greatest GAA jumper ever was spotted during the All-Ireland final between Tipperary and Kilkenny.

This was the queue for a house viewing on Ranelagh Road, Dublin. Christ.

7) Carlow man sees red over the sale of multipack cans of Coke in local shop

So angry was the local man, he decided to highlight the matter publicly.

According to the Carlow Nationalist, Patrick Cahill from Friar’s Green in Carlow made his displeasure known to the manager of Rath’s shop in Carlow after paying a visit there on Thursday of last week.

“Every time you take one from the rack, another multipack one appears. You cannot be selling things like this; it’s not as if they are short a few pounds,” Cahill said.

It’s a story that’s worth reading about again.

6) Look at the size of the spider found in a house in Wexford last night

The spiders are here, they’re organised, and they’re going to takeover the country.

3) The so-called “cheapest pub in Ireland” went up for sale

Formerly the Kilbride Inn, this pub is the only one in the parish of Four Mile House, Roscommon.

The bidding started at  as bids start at just €30,000 and it ultimately sold for €42,000.
