The Political Editor of German newspaper Bild, Julian Röpcke, has revealed that one of the remaining foreign passengers onboard the EgyptAir plane is Irish. There has been no official confirmation of this report from the Department of Foreign Affairs as of yet.
EgyptAir flight MSR181 was carrying 56 passengers on board and 7 crew members. The plane has now landed at Larnaca Airport in Cyprus with the majority of the passengers being allowed to get off the aircraft.

The Cyprus state broadcaster has said that at least one hijacker was thought to be strapped with explosives. The hijacker contacted the control tower at 5.30am Irish time and the plane has since landed. As stated above, Egyptair are currently in negotiations with the hijackers.
