The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon.
Two people who reportedly jumped into the River Liffey in Dublin to try and save a dog have been rescued by Dublin Fire Brigade.
The incident, which occurred on Thursday afternoon, saw rescue swimmers and firefighters from Phibsborough and Tara Street stations rescue both people and the dog.
The rescue boat then took them safely to shore.
Dublin Fire Brigade shared an image of the dog following the rescue on their Twitter page:

They are now trying to get in contact with the dog’s owner. Anyone with information should contact Dublin Fire Brigade on Twitter.
