Gardaí at Navan in County Meath are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Gibbstown, Navan.
The incident is reported to have occurred at approximately 4am on Saturday, July 7 2018.
A 21-year-old male front seat passenger was fatally injured when the car he was travelling in crashed at the above location.
The 23-year-old male driver was injured and has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
The stretch of road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
