One of the football transfer rumours that look set to run and run this year is the Ronaldo back to United story, but the Gardai have given the definitive opinion on it

As the rumours go, the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been targeting a lot of different players recently, but the number one thing on his ‘to-do’ list is to sign a contract extension with Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese superstar only has two years left on his deal, and the closer that gets to finishing up the more worried they’re going to get, along with the fans.
One team that would certainly figure pretty high on the list if he were to move is Manchester United, but that story has gotten a bit more weight behind it this morning after none other than the Garda Siochana themselves tweeted about it.

You don’t get much more definitive than that, it has to be said, and if anyone would know it’d be the Gardai, the law is on their side.
