Met Éireann has issued two Status Yellow weather warnings which will impact four counties.
The first is a rain warning and applies to Clare, Kerry and Limerick. Having already taken effect, it will be in place until 6am on Friday (10 November).
“Heavy showers will be prolonged or thundery at times with local hail, and some spot flooding is likely,” it reads.

Several counties hit with warnings over ‘heavy showers’ and ‘likely’ flooding
The other is a wind warning, which is also for Clare, Kerry and Limerick, as well as west Cork.
Set to be valid from 11pm on Thursday until 4am on Friday, the alert states that there will be “strong and very gusty west to northwest winds”.
As for the possible impacts of these conditions, Met Éireann lists “difficult travelling conditions” and “wave overtopping”.

The warnings come as the Irish meteorological service has forecasted that temperatures will plummet to as low as zero on Thursday night and to as low as -1 on Friday night.
