A Garda investigation is currently ongoing.
Six people have been arrested in Meath as a result of a Garda investigation into suspected human trafficking in Navan.
Three men and two women, aged between their early 40s and late 60s, and a female juvenile were arrested following a planned search of a house in Castletown Kilpatrick in Navan at approximately 8pm yesterday evening.
The search of the house came about after officers raised concerns for the well-being of a Romanian man they encountered while on patrol in nearby Nobber.
Up to 20 people are believed to have been set free after Gardai searched the house and were subsequently taken to Navan Garda Station.
The six people arrested are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act of 1984 at various Garda stations in the Meath division.
