It’s bloody baltic out.
Met Éireann issued a weather warning late Saturday evening which will remain in place until midday Sunday.
The warning is that of a low temperature one, warning those living in Munster, Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal that temperatures are set to stay well below zero until midday today.
The meteorological website warns of severe frosts in these regions, with bright spells kicking off later today.
Widespread severe frost will clear from most places, and today will be dry and bright with long spells of sunshine everywhere. Frost may linger in shaded inland areas. After a very cold start, temperatures will recover to range 3 to 5 degrees later.

According to Met Éireann: ”Dry and clear tonight. Very cold with severe air and ground frost returning. Moderate east winds. Lowest temperatures will range from zero near east and south coasts to -5° degrees well inland. A risk of icy patches on any damp untreated surfaces.”
Monday, however, seems a little brighter with sunshine and showers forecast:
”Monday will be dry again in most places. Frost will clear, and most places will have a bright start with sunshine, but cloud will increase from the south and west. A few spots of drizzle may appear near south coasts during the evening. Moderate southeast winds. Becoming milder. Highest temperatures 3 to 7 degrees.”
