Suicide bomb attack leaves Germany reeling once more

Carl Kinsella

Little more than 48 hours after 10 people including the shooter died in a rampage killing on Friday, Germany has suffered from a suicide bomb attack.

The attacker, who detonated the explosive after being refused entry into a festival, killed only himself, though 12 others were injured as a result.

2,500 people were also evacuated from the festival in Ansbach after the bomb went off.

Ansbach is roughly two hours from Munich, where Friday’s attack took place, and both cities are in Bavaria.

The attack is estimated to have taken place just after 10pm on Sunday night. Three of the injured are said to be seriously hurt.
