Gardaí were alerted following a disturbance involving a group of supporters.
A male teenager was arrested after crowd trouble at a League of Ireland First Division fixture in Longford on Friday evening.
Shortly after 9pm, Gardaí were alerted following a disturbance involving a group of supporters inside the grounds at Bishopsgate Stadium where Bray Wanderers played Longford Town.
In a statement to JOE, a Garda spokesperson said the disturbance was brought under control by Gardaí and stewards and that a number of those involved were identified and removed from the grounds.
After this, one male in his late teens was arrested under the Public Order Act.
The spokesperson added that there were no reports of any serious injuries following the disturbance.
They also stated that all of the circumstances of the incident are under investigation and that enquires are ongoing.
