Gardaí are currently investigating the incident.
A male teenager has died in Mayo this morning after his car collided with a ditch. The name of the deceased has not been made public. His age is also not specified.
Gardaí at Louisburgh confirmed that the crash took place The Quay, Clare Island, Westport, Co Mayo at approximately 1am this morning.
The deceased was the only occupant of the vehicle.
This stretch of road has been closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
