The murder of Eddie Hutch is believed to be linked to last Friday’s shooting at the Regency Hotel in Dublin.
Eddie Hutch, the brother of notorious gangland figure Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch, has been shot dead in Dublin tonight. It is believed to have been a retaliatory move for the murder of 33-year-old David Byrne at the Regency Hotel last Friday afternoon.
The shooting took place at an apartment block in Poplar Row, Ballybough, at 7.45pm.
The area has been sealed off, with Gardaí and emergency services at the scene. Multiple gunmen are believed to have entered the victim’s home before shooting their target.
They then fled in a getaway car.
