We’re not jealous, we’re not jealous at all.
The National Lottery have revealed that the winning €66 million Euromillions ticket was sold in the Easons store in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre in Carlow.
The ticket, a lucky €15 Quick Pick ticket, was purchased in the store on the Wednesday prior to the draw and it is believed that the €66 million jackpot will be shared amongst a group of friends who wish to remain anonymous.
The syndicate claimed their winnings at National Lottery HQ yesterday.
The €66 million represented half of the overall jackpot, with the other half being claimed by some very lucky person or some very lucky people in France.
There’s another Euromillions draw tonight, of course, but the jackpot is only a measly €30 million or so.
Hardly worth doing, is it?
