One of the world’s most famous structures had an intruder over the weekend.
The Eiffel Tower was closed yesterday morning when a man with a backpack was caught scaling the famous Paris landmark.
According to BBC News, the individual broke in before opening hours and began ascending. The tower was cleared so that anti-terror police could search for the man, but nobody was found.
It was reopened at around lunchtime, but news of the incident has spread quickly and caused concern due to the recent terror attacks on the country.

A source has reported that, “an individual was seen in the structure with a backpack.”
“To remove all doubt, a helicopter was sent to carry out an inspection of the structure.”
The other less worrying theory is that intruder was a parachutist looking to jump – an act performed 10 years ago by a Nigerian man who died during his attempt.
