The southside was affected this morning.
The Luas Green line was out of service this morning due to a power failure so there was no tram travelling between Stephen’s Green and Bride’s Glen.
The service has since been restored with Luas releasing this brief statement earlier.
“Luas Greenline services have been fully restored, delays are expected for a short period. We would like to apologies to all passengers affected by the disruption and thank them for their patience.”
Here’s how Luas-users in the southside of Dublin reacted this morning before the service had resumed.
Luas is out….bus is late….will I make to work on time who knows!?
#curseyoutransport!

Green line Luas is completely out of action!!! Gotta love the extra effort getting to work in the mornings
— Gerard Kirwan (@19gerwin90) May 20, 2015
@Luas You don't have an approximate time? Days, hours…? People need an estimate.
— misssineady (@princessnady1) May 20, 2015
A lot of people not getting to work this morning when they find out the luas Green line is not operating!
— Graham Darcy (@GrayoDarcy33) May 20, 2015
Starting to see why they say the Luas is a "green" method of transport… Because the fecker never runs half the time!
— Lorcán O'hEidhin (@WaistCoatKing) May 20, 2015
Damn you Luas. Almost no chance getting a bus this morning!
— Niall Murphy (@NiallXMurphy) May 20, 2015
The @Luas has only gone down twice the whole time I've been living in #dublin. It's really not bad.
— Philippa Jamieson (@PhillyJamieson) May 20, 2015
If you're at a Luas stop just walk into town. Traffic is mental and the buses are rammed. Save yourself!
— GeorgieGavin (@GeorgieJGavin) May 20, 2015
No Green Line Luas this morning, either direction. The traditional zombie exodus down the tracks is in full swing. https://t.co/J5beyHvx8U

The Green Line Luas is down again this morning?! I feel stranded!
— Aisling (@totalmakeupadd) May 20, 2015
@Luas Come back to us! We can change!
— Jay Molloy (@MolloyJay) May 20, 2015
Like a scene from the morning after a night out, the @Luas isn't running so people walk the tracks #luasproblems pic.twitter.com/G2r90omtT1

Luas green line not operating traffic is mental
— loulou (@LSpotten) May 20, 2015
Contrary to popular belief, Luas passengers do not wear a synthetic human skin over their true reptilian/ humanoid hides.

I survived the big luas blackout of 2015
— Braz (@neilbrazil) May 20, 2015
One last moan. Had to spend €25 in a taxi last night due to no LUAS last night and now really late for work and no empty buses at all #LUAS
— Denzil Lacey (@DenzilLacey) May 20, 2015
Luas broken AGAIN. Seriously Green Line, what is the point of you?
— Zoë Alicia (@ZoeAlicia101) May 20, 2015
The luas is down and I need to go into town meh
— shan (@daydreamingtho) May 20, 2015
@Luas is the Luas going to work today? We are in a taxi! pic.twitter.com/B8G8fRgzDw

And for people who haven’t been affected by the Luas breakdown.
