It’s finally here.
Much as we’ll miss throwing stuff at the telly during Claire Byrne Live, and the controversy over posters, and disgusting hate mail sent to vocal campaigners for change, it’s probably a good thing that by 10.01pm tonight Ireland will have cast its vote in the Marriage Equality referendum and we can all just have a quiet pint.
In the meantime, these #HomeToVote tweets are lifting our spirits no end.
got a show in @DeBarraFolkClub in Clonakilty tonight. Come! Have put aside some comps for #hometovote people. Let me know!

#Hometovote is great but it's people who live here who are the real f**king heroes. We had to sit through the campaign.

Sometimes I lose faith in humanity. Then I see something like #hometovote and it's restored. I love you guys (humanity) right now.
