A combined 36,000 retweets and counting for two of the most banal tweets you’ll see today, but this is Cristiano Ronaldo and Justin Bieber we’re talking about.
Bieber has nearly 36 million followers on Twitter and – despite more than a sneaking suspicion that his incredibly boring tweets are posted by a member of his PR team – Ronaldo has just short of 17 million, which explains why a simple exchange between the pair of them sent so many of their fans into a frenzy earlier today.

Now that Bieber has arrived in Madrid, just wait until the inevitable picture of the pair of them together surfaces. If that doesn’t break Twitter and the internet, nothing will.
