There were a few homes without power and we’re sure they got their fair share of abuse, but that didn’t stop them sharing some of the Christmas cheer
The lads at the ESB have had a difficult few days, from the threat of strike to the terrible weather knocking out all the power, and we’re sure a few of them were away from the table at Christmas dinner because they were stuck working.
There was at least one person in there anyway on the aul Twitter machine, and even though it was the 25th, they weren’t feeling sorry for themselves. James Mitchell was in the Kells area, where they were experiencing a few issues, and got in touch with them about how long it might take them to get them resolved.
@ESBNetworks thanks for the quick action. Have we an estimated time of recovery or should I start "saving" (eating) the cheesecake now?

Clearly, something as important as whether or not the cheesecake should be eaten was a matter of grave import, and the lads at the ESB weighed in on the matter, just to help James out.
The lads at the ESB have advised us that, given the stormy conditions ahead, then it would be advisable to keep an eye on their powercheck page, just in case.
@jamesmitchelltv ESBNetworks cannot make any comment on this issue however if its really NICE cheesecake………

They also very politely declined an offer from James to have a slice sent their way, so we’re hoping they did get their hands on their own Christmas dinner at some stage.
Hat-tip to MSN for the main pic
