A young woman in the UK has come under fire on Twitter after she knocked a cyclist off his bike and then tweeted how she had ‘right of way’.

There have been some fierce rivalries throughout history; Manchester United & Manchester City, Liverpool & Everton… cats & dogs, but one of the fieriest rivalries to evolve in recent years has been between cyclists and drivers.

One young woman over in the UK recently took things a step too far when she hit a cyclist, drove off and then tweeted about it as if she was in the clear.

The Huffington Post named the woman as Emma Way and while her Twitter account and the tweets in question have been deleted, the screen grabs of those tweets live on…

It’s quite possibly the most idiotic Tweet that anyone has ever decided to send and it caught the attention of quite a lot of people, including the police.

According to the Huffington Post, the cyclist was later named as trainee chef Toby Hockley, 29, who was out cycling with his bike club when the incident happened.

Toby quickly got onto Facebook to say the following… “Oh hi! That was me you hit and FYI, you didn’t knock me off, I’m too hard to be hurt by a pissy micra or whatever it was you were driving.”

“I’m fine, few scrapes, bruises and sore joints but otherwise fine,” he said. “It could have been a different story if it had been any other rider. I’m not angry at all. Don’t see the point.”

It now looks like young Ms Way is going to be in a lot of trouble, especially with her employers (as they sponsor a local charity cycling event) who said they’d be looking into the matter with police.
