The Ploughing Championships will have a new home in 2016

It's not moving too far

Joe Harrington

It’s not moving too far.

The organisers of the National Ploughing Championships have confirmed that the event will be held in Tullamore in Offaly next year.

The championships have been in Ratheniska in Laois for the past three years and this year’s meeting attracted a record attendance of 281,000 people.

The reports throughout the week were all very positive so Tullamore has a lot of live up to next year. For punters, it’s not much of a change.

See you next year.
