The weather forecast for the weekend is in and it’s only *glorious

Ah, lovely

Colm Boohig

*Not glorious at all.

Right, let’s get the serious business out of the way; Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow warning nationwide until 9pm this evening, with gusts expected to range from 75 to 100km/h.

In general, Friday is expected to quite showery and cold, pretty cold, in fact, with temperatures expected to range from 7 to 10 degrees.

Don’t worry though, because Saturday brings with it the chance of spot flooding in places, particularly in west and northwest counties. It will be milder though, with temperatures in around 12-14 degrees.

In fairness, Sunday will be the mildest day of the weekend and the eastern half of the country should remain relatively dry, but there are expected to be scattered showers throughout the nation on Sunday.

So, there you have the fallout from Storm Abigail. Great times, eh?… Eh?
