Not a good night for Donald Trump.
It’s been a nervous few days for the Hillary Clinton campaign, as her early lead over Trump had withered away leaving him within striking distance on much of the polls.
The presidential debate had the potential to be a banana skin for her and her campaign, if Trump could somehow produce a modicum of presdential poise onstage and just not be, well… Donald Trump, he had a good chance of rattling her in one of the most important debates of the campaign.
Clinton would dominate the debate throughout and an unusually subdued Donald Trump then turned aggressive which led to him clashing and talking over moderator Lester Holt.
If ever there was a moment to set the tone of a debate, it was Hillary Clinton’s confident, borderline carefree, entrance when she strode over to Trump and cheerily shook his hand saying: “How are ya, Donald?”
Polls by most of the televising networks showed Clinton winning the debate decisively, and most of the internet seemed to agree with these findings.
