Stop everything! There’s massive 260ft water slide coming to Dublin

Alan Loughnane

Time to get excited people…

All you sliders get ready, a 260ft water slide will be constructed in the Dublin City Centre, on Winetavern Street (near Christchurch Cathedral).

The two lane inflatable slide will run from the arch of the Christchurch Cathedral down to the base of the hill and those with a more adventurous streak will have the opportunity to go for a slide on it.

Lets reinforce this, it’s a huge water slide, on the streets of Dublin, on Saturday July 23… this looks like it’s going to be class.

The 75 metre slide is arriving in Dublin’s city centre all thanks to 98FM, HB Ice Cream and Dublin City Council.

The slide will be open from 12-6pm, with HB handing out free ice creams to cool down sliders and spectators alike.

In order to have a chance of using it you need to get a wristband, which you can apply for over on the HB Facebook page.

Or you can tune into Dara Quilty on The Big Ride Home on 98FM every day from next week where he will be giving away a limited number of wristbands will be released each day.

A water slide, with free ice cream… sounds like our kind of party.
