This is the foreign country where Irish people are most likely to get arrested

Viva España.

Irish Council for Prisoners Overseas estimate that roughly 1,100 Irish citizens have been incarcerated in foreign lands at any given time during the last five years.

According to a report by the Irish Times, Spain is where most Irish people abroad have brushes with the law. In the last five years, Irish people have been arrested 474 times in Spain – which is four times the amount of arrests that occur in the UK.

While we don’t want to spend too much time speculating, we have a feeling that sixth year holidays in places like Magaluf have to contribute to these figures at least a little bit.

The UK has arrested 102 Irish people in the last five years, but have the most Irish people imprisoned in their prisons and jails with 95.
