He’ll deserve his Irish coffee on Stephen’s Night after this.
JOE reader Stephen Reburn is doing something very special for Pieta House over Christmas – he’s running across four counties in the space of 24 hours, starting at 3pm on Christmas Day.
Stephen will start out in Nobber, County Meath, and finish up a day later in Ardee, County Louth.
Between those two destinations he will pass through… drumroll… Kingscourt, Carrickmacross, Shercock, Bailieborough, Virginia, Kells, Navan and Slane.
Much like Forrest Gump, Stephen is inviting people to keep him company on any leg of the journey.
“This event’s aim is to remember and help anyone effected by suicide or mental illness, to remember the people we lost throughout the year and the people missing from the Christmas family dinner table,” he tells JOE.
“As Christmas is an extremely difficult time of the year, this event will hopefully show that people are here to help.”
