This would represent a significant difference in ideologies…
Earlier today, Donald Trump named Governor of Indiana Mike Pence as his Vice Presidential running mate. As fellow Republicans, the two share views on many things – but a key area where they differ is on Trump’s controversial proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the United States.
Trump originally proposed the plan after an attack in San Bernardino perpetrators by supposed Muslims. The plan has been roundly condemned by politicians and punters from both sides of the aisle.
A vocal opponent of the ban was Mike Pence himself, who tweeted this at the time:
Calls to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. are offensive and unconstitutional.

So far, Trump has refused to back down on this deeply divisive proposal – but perhaps Pence’s influence on his campaign will cause him to soften his view.
