She is living the dream.
Kilsheelan native, Aine Hickey, will need to have a sweet tooth for the next year because she has just landed the dream job.
Aine has just signed a one-year contract to be the official Irish sweet taster for Swizzels – the English-based sweet company.
Over the next 12 months Aine will be sent large supplies of various confectionery products which she will then test by tasting and giving feedback.
Speaking about securing the incredible position, Aine said: “My friends saw it on Facebook and heard about it on Today FM and suggested that I apply’
“I wrote a 500-word application and received an email to say I had been shortlisted. They told me I got the job after I did an interview over the phone”.
