Thousands of Dubliners left without electricity after power outage

Break out the candles…

A power outage in the Dublin 7 area has left a large number of properties in the area without power.

The ESB are aware of the issue and their technicians are currently working on the repairs, which have affected over 3,800 customers.

The faults were initially reported at Pelletstown at 6.15 pm this evening.

Initially,  the ESB said power would be restored by 7.15pm, but that timeline has now been pushed out until 11.45pm tonight.

ESB hope to have power restored as soon as possible and have apologised for any inconvenience caused to their customers.
