Tipperary hurler Kieran Bergin has thrown his support behind a No vote in the upcoming referendum on Marriage Equality.
In a leaflet advocating a No vote posted to Twitter by Ciarán Lyng, a quote attributed to Bergin states: “I’m voting No! Marriage can only be the union of a man and a woman.”
First 'No' leaflet I've seen. Important reminder to do everything you can for final two weeks for a Yes vote. #MarRef pic.twitter.com/dl9SfDILbN

Bergin’s stance is not reflective of the ideals of many of his fellow players, with the Gaelic Players Association recently aligning themselves with the Yes campaign in the upcoming vote on May 22nd.
