If you’re looking for a new job, this might be a good place to start.
Sales managers, registered nurses and software engineers and developers have the greatest number of job opportunities available to them in Ireland, according to jobs website Indeed.
Announced on the same day it was revealed that unemployment in Ireland fell to 6.6%, research by Indeed revealed the ten roles with the greatest number of job opportunities based on analysis of thousands of job postings available on Indeed in Ireland over a six month period.
Accountants and auditors, customer service representatives, marketing managers and chefs were amongst the other roles to feature in the top ten, while the inclusion of software engineers and computer support specialists reflected the growth in employment in the ICT (information and communications technology) industry in Ireland, particularly in Dublin.

Commenting on the data, Indeed’s EMEA economist Mariano Mamertino said: “As Ireland’s unemployment falls, employers will find it increasingly difficult to source suitable candidates to fill their open roles. Companies must develop smart ways of finding this talent or face missing out on growth.”

“International companies located in Ireland now depend on a strong supply of multilingual talent to fuel this growth. Sales and customer service roles, as well as jobs in tech and financial services, all feature prominently as the most available positions in Ireland.
“As this pool of talent becomes increasingly global, Irish employers must compete with companies across Europe to fill their vacancies. In the quest for qualified candidates, companies that are most successful in attracting high skilled emigrants back to Ireland, and workers from other parts of the world, could stand to benefit the most.”
