Chicken heaven…
There’s nothing most of us wouldn’t do for a snackbox and these prisoners were thinking the same thing when they were offered hot chicken and chips to come down from the roof they’d climbed up during a riot last week.
Two prisoners at Cloverhill Prison had climbed up on the shed and it took 12 hours of negotiations and hot snackboxes to get them to eventually come down at 1.30 am, Thursday morning.
Speaking to The Independent a source said, “The prisoners go up there but soon they get cold and hungry but they don’t want to lose face.
“There’s nothing wrong with offering food and the situation ended peacefully.”
Negotiations can be a tricky thing because no one wants to look like they’re chicken or end up getting battered. Here’s the proof that when parties talk freely, without a chip on their shoulder, good things can come.
