Incredibly sad news.
Dublin woman, Ana Hick, aged 18, has died in hospital following an incident at a Dublin nightclub on Sunday morning.
She had been out celebrating with her pals in The Twisted Pepper venue on Middle Abbey Street after completing her first year in college.
Gardaí say Miss Hick was taken to Mater Hospital at 3am on Sunday morning but passed away at 5pm last evening.
An exact cause of death has not been established but Gardaí are awaiting the results of a toxicology report.
The Twisted Pepper released this statement on their Facebook page:
“Everyone at the Twisted Pepper is deeply saddened and devastated at the news of the sad passing of Ana Hick.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ana’s family and friends at this tragic time.
We are working closely with the authorities and out of respect for Ana and her family we cannot comment further at this time.
