Tributes pour in for man killed in tragic Wexford four-car collision

The crash which occurred on the N25 on Tuesday claimed the life of one man with no other injuries reported.

A 73-year-old man who died in a four-car collision in Orristown, Co Wexford has been named locally as Dave ‘Taff’ Thomas.

Mr Thomas’ death notice read that he is a “beloved husband of Rita, father of Tye, step-father of Keith, Naomi and Shauna; sadly missed by his family, son-in-law Mark, grandchildren Scott and Emilia, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.”

He was originally from Wales but was living Tagoat, Wexford at the time of the tragic accident.

Tributes have poured in online for Mr Thomas, with one person writing: “Sincere condolences to Rita, Tyrone, Keith, Shauna, Naomi, Scott and Emilia. May Dave’s sould rest in peace.”

Another person wrote: “To Rita and all the family, please accept our sincere sympathy on your very sad and sudden loss. May Dave RIP.”

Another said: “Rest in peace taff condolences to his wife and children and grandchildren relatives and friends we worked on a few sites tougher for years you can rest now dave so long mate.”

Somebody else added: “Deepest sympathy to Rita,Ty, Shauna, Keith, Naomi and all of Dave’s family on his sad passing.”

Mr Thomas will be reposing in Mulligans Funeral Home, The Faythe, Wexford on Saturday from 6pm until 9pm.

His removals will take place on Sunday at 11.15 am to St. Mary’s Church, Tagoat for funeral Mass at 12pm.

Cremation will take place privately. No flowers by request.
