The Korean flag balls up last night has caused a lot of Twitter comment but this is the best we have seen so far, from Samoan rugby player Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu.

Whatever you may think of North Korea as a regime, it was a pretty big mix-up last night by the Olympic officials to display the South Korean flag beside their footballers last night.

The miffed North Koreans walked off before coming back and winning the game, beating Colombia 2-0. It was a long protest but the incident passed off without violence.

But we have a word of warning for the Olympic authorities. If you mess with Samoa, things will be much worse.

Samoan rugby player Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu has a history of Twitter controversy. He has been banned for some of his comments about referees in the past and during the last World Cup he accused the organisers of slavery and apartheid towards Samoa. While it would be unfair to label him the Joey Barton of rugby, he’s not far off.

Anyway, this morning Fuimaono-Sapulo reacted to the North Korean flag issue with a bit of advice for them. And with Rugby 7s a sport at the 2016 Games, we hope the lads in Brazil are listening.
