Leitrim won their first game in the history of the football qualifiers last night and star forward Emlyn Mulligan celebrated the victory over Wicklow in unorthodox fashion.
Having top scored for Leitrim with six points in the 0-13 – 0-10 win, Mulligan could have been forgiven for toasting a historic win for his county with a few celebratory pints, but with a game look forward to next weekend, he decided to retire to the kitchen instead to make some pancakes with a lady friend.
Mulligan didn’t enlighten his 600+ followers with pictures of his culinary efforts, but as long as he laid off the Nutella ahead of the match next weekend, we’re sure nobody would begrudge him a few tasty treats.
If Leitrim keep on winning, the post-match pancakes might become something of a ritual for Mulligan and the longer they can progress in the championship, the sweeter they’ll taste.
