If any GAA (preferably Donegal) fans are heading to watch the big game in London today, would you please give Frankie Boyle a shout?
The always controversial comedian hails from Glasgow of course, but followers of his Twitter page will be aware of the fact that because of what he calls his “complex cultural background,” he has been following Donegal’s fortunes with interest all season.
Earlier in the year, he promised to buy a sheep for all 15 members of the Donegal team that started the Ulster Final victory over Down and indicated that he was willing to take up an offer from Paddy McBrearty for one of his player’s tickets if Jim McGuinness’ men reached the All-Ireland Final.
Only yesterday, he was back on Twitter to wish Paddy and the rest of the squad the best of luck against the Rebels and today, he posed the question of his 958,000+ followers as to where is the best place to watch the match in London.

Unsurprisingly given the large GAA fraternity across the pond, Frankie quickly received a flood of responses and eventually decided on a pub called Waxy O’Connor’s, which according to our research, is just off Leicester Square and in close proximity to the Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square tube stations.
So if you’re in London and heading to the boozer to watch the match and fancy a bit of celeb spotting, Waxy O’Connor’s might be your spot.
Given the level of slagging that Frankie’s capable of, however, Cork fans might want to go elsewhere.
